Donuts blog 10

This blog will be on the topic of homemade donuts and popular donut makers. i will also give you tips on easy to make donuts that can taste as good as, or close enough to name brand donuts such as dunkin donuts or krispy kreme. One popular brand of donut makers is by the company sunbeam. They make a five count donut maker for the surprisingly decent cost of 29.99. It can be found at local stores such as target or walmart and is very easy to use, and is widely suggested.

As for actual donut recipes they vary drastically. Some people prefer there donuts to be less sweet, or more sweet, bigger or smaller, or even thicker or thinner. These can all be found online and to your preference.

All of these donuts are possible to make if you purchase yourself your very own donut maker

Just like these pictured you can make your own select variety of donuts

I don't actually have a donut maker at home but would seriously consider it, epecially if you are as into the delightful pastries as myself. Like i said it isn't to hard and not that expensive at all to make your very own homemade donuts.

Donuts Blog 9

There are many odd things one can do with a donut, which is why i am focusing this blog on what i would like to call donut oddities. There are odd donut flavors around the world such as daiquiri, mojito, red bean bismark, dry pork and seaweed, rice sticks, and pork floss. I will continue some of the list below.
Garlic Glazed

Green Tea

Red Bean

Wasabi and Seaweed cheese

The list goes on further and further. As i was observing this list of very strange and not so appetizing looking donuts, i realized that the majority of these, if not all, were from other countries such as thailand, japan, and other european and asian countires.

I personally love to try new things but some of these donuts however i don't know if i could see myself being able to get down. It makes me realize also that our country doesn't really have that large of a variety of donuts and i would like that to be changed somehow. Ill list a few more below.

Fancy cake

Melon

Mini Donuts

The donuts listed above are a little less bizzare but out of the ordinanry none the less. Some of them i would actually like to try like fancy cake and melon, but others there are no way i would ever even touch like wasabi and seaweed. These are some of the odd donuts i have come across and hopefully never find.

#8 Famous Randy's Donuts

In one of my previous blogs, i talked about the famous establishment known as Randy's donuts. I looked into this donut lovers paradise and found out some interesting things that i never even thought about. The building can be found in multiple feature films such as mars attacks, the golden child, crocodile dundee in los angeles, and even iron man 2. It was even in the famous band Red hot chili peppers' music video "californication", and in video games such as midnight club: los angeles, need for speed most wanted, and grand theft auto: san andreas.

The donut shop can be seen in the background of this video game, midnight club los angeles.

An off brand version of the iconic randy's donuts located in grand theft auto: los angeles.

I has actually become a goal of mine that you could say i want to add to my "bucket list" of things to do before i die, to have a classicly frosted donut from the famous Randy's Donuts located in Los Angeles, California. Im sure it is all i would hope for it to be and more, and can only hope that one day i will have my dreams come true and sit down to one of these delectable delights.

Donuts 7

Last week i had a wonderful experience with the sweet and delectable dessert known as the donut. I  came across this moment while i was with two of my friends and we were on our way to the local dunkin donuts. We each decided that we would split a dozen donuts and that would be it, but little did we know there would be a surprise waiting for us inside the box. After we got outside, sat down at a table and opened the box, we realized there was a little more then a dozen inside. Their were actually 2 dozen, and we were confused but not about to complain.

The next place we decieded we want to go to is krispy kreme, were we can get literally freshly glazed donuts made right in front of us. it may seem like a person can only love donuts so much, but we exceed that line and go way past it.

Above are some pictures of interesting donuts we would like to try, one of which is the worlds largest donut and was featured on foodnetworks, Man vs Food. Also, there is a picture of a fake advertisement for krispy kreme which features a "krispy kreme donut burger". Im not so sure however how good that would actually be.

The O in donuts

Donut Mishap Funny Picture

People always have interesting and fun takes on the image of the donut. Above are some photos i found that people over the internet made, and also made me laugh out loud (lol). I love searching pictures of funny donuts because you can find all sorts of quirky things like these and its loads of entertainment.

Donuts are our joyous snack that needs no occasion to eat them; they are the side order to our coffee, tea or milk and can easily make us popular around the office. We can chomp down on these palatable desserts morning noon and night, and gladly eat the glazed, or chew on a Krispy Kreme without blinking an eye, whatever is left in the box is worthy to your tummy.

One Dozen Fun Facts about Donuts

Donuts are sold around the United States on a daily basis, and some folks just cannot get enough. It seems as if every grocery store has a bakery, which sells donuts, but there are several bakeries around the United States as well. Donut Connection, Dunkin Donuts, Mister Donut, and numerous more help to create the donuts that millions of us consume on a daily basis.

Time to make the donuts was created for Dunkin donuts and made its first appearance on television in 1983. Fred was always getting up early to go make the donuts and this propelled Dunkin Donuts into profit making success. That saying time to make the donuts is popular slang currently, which means time to go to work.

Donuts: Pros and cons

Donuts are a delicous and fun snack, but obviously not the healthiest. They are fatty, glaze covered indulgences but are oh-so irresistable. I for one could never turn one down if offered, but their are some facts i was interested in after eating them. For starters the unhealthiest donut at dunkin donuts is actually the blueberry crumb donut. I was actually shocked to hear this because i thoughyt it would be something like a boston creme or maple stick.

Having said that, the healthiest donut is the chocoalte frosted cocoa donut, which is a total of 270 calories. One huge negative about donuts is that they are very high in carbs. a person who eats 2,000 calories should eat 225 to 325g of carbohydrates a day. The Dunkin' Donuts' chocolate-frosted cake doughnut has 38g of carbohydrates, while the jelly-filled doughnut has 36g, so they would each account for about 11 to 16 percent of your daily carbohydrate intake.

Sugars are very important in the donut process, because they are the most important factor. They give the donut its sweet flavor. Without those sugars donuts would simply taste like bread. CalorieKing.com states that 1 oz. of the average doughnut has 6.5g of sugars. The Dunkin' Donuts chocolate-frosted cake doughnut has 19g of sugar, and the jelly-filled has 6g. Sugar content varies based on the type of doughnut and its size.
